We believe that activities for children, including when they’re out and about, shouldn’t be limited to the use of digital devices as they don’t have the ability to develop the whole child. We create toys and activities that develop children’s senses, fine motor control, language and other areas. They are compact to make them easy to throw into a bag to keep them entertained. On occasions, we also have ‘limited edition’ play props to promote open-ended play when at home or at a party.
Our main product is the washable colouring mat with add-on mats. Our Cub Pack and Play bags are a perfect companion to this and feature pockets to organise toys and the main section is big enough to fit a colouring mat into.
The face behind Noble Cubs – Martina
I’m Martina and I am mum to 3 little cubs who I do all this for (they’re 10, 8 and 2). I also have an amazingly supportive hubby. We live in Ipswich in Queensland on a couple of acres where the kids can roam.
I grew up around sewing and received my first machine for Christmas when I was 9. I was taught to sew by my mum and Nanna.
I began sewing for myself and then once I had children, was inspired to create for them.
Being an early childhood educator and mum, I understand the importance of play on the development of children and want to create items and clothing that promote play. I see a direct impact of overuse of devices on children’s oral language when they begin at school. Well developed oral language skills are building blocks for literacy learning.
This is where Noble Cubs began and the inspiration for #digifreeplay.
