Tambella Arts is the creative outlet of Carrie.
Within you’ll find beautiful wall decor made of paper, lovingly made by hand..
Using brightly coloured cardstock, Carrie hand cuts stylised images of flora and fauna, then utilising a process called “Quilling” she gives each piece a third dimension by adhering paper on its thin edge to the image. The final pieces, are delicate, colourful,, original pieces of art, delivered complete in deep box frames to protect them from the elements.
These unique artworks are designed and crafted, at Carrie’s home “Tambella”, located in the Northern foothills of Tamborine Mountain in South East-Queensland.
One of her particular favourites to design and create are birds, inspired by the local fauna surrounding her family’s country home.
The face behind Tambella Arts – Carrie
My name is Carrie. I’m the hands and mind behind “Tambella Arts”, a creative little operation in the business of creating special paper artworks that are both beautiful and unique.
Two years ago, my family (husband, two young boys and our dog Holly) and I relocated from a Brisbane city lifestyle to our property “Tambella” located at the foot of Tamborine Mountain in South-East Queensland.
I’m inspired by all manner of wild things, including our local surrounds and our two raucous boys, I turned my hand to making images with paper, and i haven’t looked back. “Tambella Arts” is my interpretation of the world i see around me, and it’s a beautiful place to be.
Thank you for taking an interest in my work.
